Iam old enough to remember receiving our first gortex bivi bag in the mid 80s, at the time I was Paratrooper in 5 airborne brigade as it was known then (now 16 AA in Colchester) these quickly became a well loved piece of kit.

Again like the British military Tarp this bivibag isn't the smallest or lightest on the market and has no hood but what it does give you is a bag which will take the worst nature can throw at it and more, way more resistant to tears and leaks than the most expensive brands available.
