I first got one of these handwarmers from a Gun shop as a young lad living out in the wilds in Scotland, they were a life saver and kept my hands from freezing for many years, I picked up another pair when i was based in Germany with the Army and have had one ever since.
A simple but highly effective piece of kit, a felt covered tin with a fireproof inner. The heat source a charcoal stick, simply light the included charcoal stick, once charcoal is burning, put in centre of tin and close giving you up to 10 hours continuous warmth.
